This is a hand built clay piece and glaze fired to Cone 6 oxidation. This clay vessel has been elevated by combining it with two band sawn wood pieces, The band sawn pieces are attached through holes in the vessel with bamboo pegs and pins. The elongated, somewhat rectangular washers are formed using a fast drying 2 part epoxy resin and then painted with a metallic activated paint. This creates a one-of-a-kind sculptural piece. Although the sculpture is primarily clay, it is often the other mediums that set the tone for what the clay will do.
